She also interviewed then-presidential candidate Ben Carson, covered summer shark attacks that attracted national attention, and covered the University of North Carolina at Wilmington’s men’s basketball teams’ journey to the NCAA tournament.

Block still enjoys playing volleyball whenever she can. She is an indoors person, but she doesn’t mind a little sand. She is also a big fan of shopping, binge-watching Netflix shows, and spending some quality time with her family.
